Are teens in need of social etiquette?
I do agree that teens nowadays are lack and are in need of proper etiquette. I suppose most, if not all, of us would have personally encountered and heard about an encounter with teens behaving like hooligans in public. Examples of their ‘ugly’ behavior, they litter indiscriminately even if the dustbin is just next to them, swear loudly in dialect or even not giving up seat on the bus for the elderly or for people who need it more. Teens nowadays are being more self-centered and inconsiderate. However, who is it to be blame for the lack of etiquette? Though teenager seems to be the main culprit as they are responsible for their own actions, parents and school are also to be blame. Parents not correcting or setting a good example for a child since young might affect the young minds. They might think that littering, vandalizing or any other ‘ugly’ behavior is alright and normal. School does not provide any lesson regarding ones’ behavior in the public or basic manners. Thus as a child grows up, they get more arrogant and rude. This issue should be handled quickly before it gets way out of hand.
